Ike White
Chesnee, Feb. 16-Ike White, 55, textile employee of Lydia Mill at Clinton and former
resident of Chesnee died Monday morning at Hayes Hospital in Clinton after a brief illness.
Funeral
services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 at New Hope Baptist Church at Earl, NC, conducted by the Revs James Walker
and Glen Felmet. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers
will be the following nephews: Oscar White, L. D. McSwain, Jr., J. D. Hammett, Leroy Hammett, Henry Bailey and James Mabry.
The body will be at the Blackwell Funeral Home, here till noon Tuesday. Then it will
be carried to the home at Clinton to remain till 1:30 Wednesday afternoon when it will be carried to the church.
Surviving
are: his wife, Mrs. Lillian Owensby White; 4 sons, Boyd of Gaffney, Lloyd, Howard and Jack of Clinton; 2 daughters, Misses
Beatrice and Evelyn White of Clinton; and one sister, Mrs Roy Hammett of Kings Mountain, NC.
